Great Horned Owls

The Great Horned Owl is a large, common North American owl known for its distinctive feather tufts or 'horns', silent flight, and powerful hunting and preying skills predating a wide variety of rats and other rodents.
They have excellent night vision and hearing, and are able to rotate their heads up to 270 degrees to see and locate prey. Great Horned Owls are known for their deep 'hoo-HOO' calls used for territorial defense.
